Three Day DSGE Workshop

This three-day workshop will provide participants with the basic tools to construct and estimate Dynamic Stochastic General Equilibrium (DSGE) models. The workshop will provide a "Hands-On" approach to learning using a versatile software package (DYNARE) and will examine a number of uses of DSGE models, including forecasting, policy analysis and business cycle analysis. The Workshop is aimed at research students (doctoral), researchers in Government agencies, private sector Consulting Agencies, non-governmental organisations that are interested in analysing economic issues using these new modelling approaches. The learning style will include interactive workshopping using a computer laboratory as well as lectures. There will be many practical examples. The workshop will run from  10:00 am to  4:00 pm on 4h, 5th and  6th February 2008. There will be two two-hour sessions on each day, with a break for lunch and working on problems.
